I entered the ballroom where the on-stage production of a client fundraising gala was in progress. My intention was to check on how things were rolling along before turning my attention back to some behind-the-scenes logistics that I was overseeing.
My feet were killing me, so I happily plopped down on a riser where the camera guy was set-up at the back of the room.
Within 3 seconds, Dave, our audiovisual and event technology architect, was whispering in my ear.
‘Don’t move – your body weight is jiggling the camera. As soon as the live feed ends, you need to get up and find a proper place to sit’.
Eeek … what a dumb thing to do!
I am usually quite well-behaved during live production, so this is a faux pas that I’m not living down.
Fast forward almost a year later, and ironically, I’ve been part of more film days in the last 10 months than in the last 10 years of owning iSPARK.

- a new dynamic landing page for the Spo Ho Xperienceâ„¢ event
- a marketing video for a new team development service offering by Sheffe Consulting
- this cute little Post-it note clip that’s making the rounds on social media
- a new subscription-based graphic design service that is perfect for small companies and organizations with small budgets, but big design ideas
