March 2022 – What are your thoughts on video? It’s evolved a lot since the days of Candid Camera, Punk’d, and America’s Funniest Home Videos.

Video is everywhere on social media. YouTube has exploded over the years as video has become the preferred means to communicate. Even the most tech unsavvy grandma has figured out Tik Tok.

No one wants to read anymore …. They want to WATCH.

So, what does that mean for your marketing strategies and how does it impact you in your everyday life?

Video is all about the storytelling … whether you’re showing off your dance moves, explaining a complicated concept with an explainer video, sharing your knowledge in a vlog format, or capturing something newsworthy in your neighbourhood, you are telling a STORY.

We’ve produced all kinds of videos in recent years. Many are featured on the Portfolio page of our website.

Here are a few of our favs:

  • Sport Events Exchange Explainer Video – an animated video that describes a complex concept using cute icons and sound effects and easy to understand voiceover (with some clever easter eggs hidden throughout).
  • Behind the Scenes at Sport Events Congress – BTS is one of my favourite types of videos. This one is led by the iSPARK Chief Energy Officer (aka sorta CEO), Greg and features a tour of a virtual event production studio. It’s a longer form video designed to promote the event sponsor, Marriott Hotels and since it was live, there are a few mishaps!
  • Nuit Blanche 2016 Sizzle Reel – Sizzle reels are another favourite and a very popular style of video. Capturing all the highlights at your event makes for a great memento, and even greater marketing tool for the following year. This one gives me all the feels.
  • 2019 [un] GOLF & Sport Tourism FORE-um ‘Slow Motion Scramble’ – Slow motion video is a cool trend that guarantees smiles. It’s no surprise that Greg had A LOT of fun with this one!
  • The Story of Josh & Danika – this video has the most views on our YouTube channel and is probably due for a little update. But, I think it still does a great job of telling the story of the type of work we do at iSPARK Consulting.

No matter who you are and what you do, there is always going to be an audience ready and willing to watch your videos. So, grab your phone and get out there and start creating!

If you need some help to put together a more professional video, please reach out. We’d be thrilled to help you bump up those likes and shares.

Be safe & create!
